Wring That Wrist
“These mythical creatures, we do not know if they existed or not, but they do exist in today’s world as myths, obscure and buried under those concealed thoughts, whether or not to believe in them, we wonder.
We fascinate about them in our heads, but we got insufficient evidence for proving their existence in present or past. And in a similar way there can be tons of things or living organisms that are buried under stories or insufficient data and cannot be recovered or revealed.
“For all lies we fascinate and for all truths we are scared.”
The artwork was made in four stages:
Chapter 1: The Myth – the red dragon.
Chapter 2: Overlapping Truths and Lies – the black splatter.
Chapter 3: Fascination – the golden boundary of the red dragon.
Chapter 4: Fear – the black drops over the golden boundary.
There is a saying, “wring one’s hand” which means to be worried or anxious about something; in my case, to be anxious about the above statement.
And there is a song called Wring That Neck by Deep Purple which I listened to while splattering paint over this mythical creature I drew beforehand.
And hence the name of the artwork: “WRING THAT WRIST”
I don’t care if it’s perfect or not as long as it conveys the true message that I intend to convey to the audience.”
